Passport fees to jump by another 10% in October

Passport fees are to rise by around 10% from 4 October . The Identity and Passport Service (IPS) has announced that the current £66 fee for a standard adult passport is to rise to £72.

'Green' hotel to open on site of one of Britain's ugliest buildings

Building work began today on the site of what is set to become one of London's biggest business hotels. The 952-room Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London will occupy the site of the annex to the former GLC headquarters on a busy South Bank roundabout, regularly voted one of the ugliest buildings in the country.
